here's the list of what jax has been up to now that he is ONE!!!
-he can feed himself finger foods
-whenever he hears music he dances... you know the usual 'baby dance.' ...he stands with his legs far apart and gently bounces up and down
-he waves to people on tv --- and then gets frustrated when they don't wave back
-jax officially knows how to open all cupboards and drawers by himself
-he intentionally signs bottle, all done, and food. he will also sign please, but only every once in a while
-he goes down for bed and naps without a fuss and routinely sleeps 13-14 hours at night
-he is SO friendly and generous with his waves... but not so much with his smiles Ü
-jaxton pretty much walks everywhere now. he tries to do it independently, but also uses the walls and furniture for balance.
-he says 'rar rar rar' when he wants to 'wrestle' with daddy
-when jax gets really excited, he waves his hands up and down really really really fast and raises his eyebrows up to the top of his head. it is so cute!
-he can say "dada" "ball" "babies" "please" (in a cute whispered voice) and "baba" (bottle). he will say "momma" every once in a while.... but it has to be a good day :)
-he will answer questions, i.e. if i say "do you want a baba?" (and sign baba), he will shake his head 'no' if he doesn't want one.
-he is so pleasant and easy going. he rarely cries unless he is tired or hungry... or hurt
-KNOCK ON WOOD ... he has never been really, really sick. i have never had to deal with throw up --- bless you child! the worst that has come his way are colds and teething. is this the calm before the storm??? i hope not!
-he plays copycat really well! if i stick my tongue out he will stick his out, if i say something he will TRY to say it
-he is in the biggest boy bath you can be in :) no more whales or duckies
-he has 9ish teeth
-jaxton's favorite foods are cereal bars, graham crackers, animal crackers, mac and cheese with carrots, lasagna, yogurt, and apple juice
-jax is very good at taking turns in play. he loves to roll a ball back and forth to someone across the room
-he LOVES to have his teeth brushed...it's seriously one of his favorite things
-he gives himself kisses in the mirror
-he is super tickilish in between his neck and his shoulder
-he is obedient and listens to us very well
jax is such a good, good boy. and we are happy that he is here!! i can't believe he is ONE!!! what a special baby that we have received. we are the luckiest parents on earth!!!

Can't believe he's already a YEAR! I feel like we just had the family reunion where you announced you were pregnant! He is such a sweet boy... also, you're STINKIN" SKINNY! I must see you in person woman! :)

Happy Birthday Jaxton. He is so smart and you guys are such great parents. You are so good at teaching him things and already teaching him limits and everything. I could take a lesson from you guys.
I have been trying to teach Gabby how to sign the word more for 6 months, she just looks at me. I swear, it was the same thing with Corbin although he finally, finally learned more but that's it. I don't know what that's all about. My babies thus far are not good at mimicking. I think they are too stubborn and don't like being told what to do. Who knows!
