Jaxton got his first hair cut!!! why is that such a tender thing for a momma??? He looks handsome as ever (but really not that different!!) with his new style!
Jax sat so dang still while she was trimming! Seriously, he was better than I am!!!

More firsts for Jax..... He attended his very FIRST day of nursery!!! what??!? It is crazy! I wonder every day where my baby went!! He did totally awesome too! For some reason it made me so sad that he wasn't all clingy to me ---- does he not love me as much as the other kiddos love their mommas??!? ha! But, really, I am so happy that he likes nursery! AND he is SUCH a good boy there!
First day of nursery- rockin' the hat! Before church.
Even after church, when we changed into our comfy clothes, jax still wanted the hat on. This kid has got S.T.Y.L.E!!!
AND 2nd time at nursery...when I told him we were going to church - he ran and grabbed his hat! It's becoming a regular part of his Sunday fashion.
--side note-- when I told Jax to smile and say cheese - this is the face he pulled...What a goof!!
Really big highlight of August for us... These fabulous people paid us a lil' visit. BE STILL MY HEART. Wowzers. This is for sure our nonblood family ...for sure. Love, love, love them!! We had such a great time!!! Ate all the food that we shouldn't and stayed up waaay too late - but seriously - oh.my. BFFs.

We made it down to the Western Idaho Fair this year with Ryan and Kristina. It was fun! I can't believe we didn't get a picture with them!! How lame! We didn't do any rides... just looked at the free stuff! :) Jax loved the animals. In this picture he is saying "moooooo"! how cute!
When we got home from the fair, I put Jax down in the living room, while I went to make him a bottle. When I peeked back in on him - I found him in his room like this. He sure loves his books!!! I thought this was such a sweet picture!
Boise offers some pretty neat activities during the month of August/September...that are FREE...the best kind :)! We also went to the Hot Air Balloon Festival. Jax LOVED it!!! He was cheering and clapping the entire time! I think the balloons look so pretty all-a-glow in the night sky!!! We had a great time!
We also celebrated our SEVENTH wedding anniversary!!! How I LOVE this man! My best friend! Very cliche'... but I would do it the same if I did it all over again!!! We didn't do anything too exciting. I worked all day - so dinner and a rented movie was perfect! :)
AND...last, but def not least! We got all decked out in our blue and orange gear and had a wonderful time watching the first bronco football game of the season! It was lots of fun...homemade crockpot chili and all kinds of snacks!...and it always makes it better when they win!!! Check out Jax's cute socks!!! Aren't those darling???

I love reading your updates, Chelsey! Jaxton is sooo cute; I love him in that little hat. And I can't believe how well he did for his haircut; my boys cry and cry and make me wish (albeit temporarily) that I had girls :).
Oh man Jax cracks me up. He is definitnely not generous in the smiles department but he's dang cute. I love how he likes to sport a hat. What kid wears a hat? Seriously my kids rip their hats off immediately. I didn't know the balloon festival went into the night and they are lit up. That is awesome. I've only gone in the day time. This last year I was at the hospital having my babes.

We are definitely going to have to do the balloon festival at night. Those are some cool pics. We did the lift off in the morning and Rachel liked it for about 15 minutes and then she was done. Love Jax's hat. So totally adorable.
Jaxton is so cute struttin' around in his little hat. Adorable! I didn't know Boise still did the hot air balloon festival. We'll have to try and come out for that some time. I always had such a great time going to that when we were little. Good memories!
